Great food: shrimp poboy and Dock salad really good; laid back atmosphere, attentive and personable service!

We were recommended this place by a local, and we were told to get the chowder. We also got the dragon fly IPA, the beer battered cod, the BLTA and the turkey pesto sandwich: everything was delish, and the server Kate was a goddamn delight. She was sassy and fun. And the fish batter was amazing, the IPA was awesome, and my kid decided to switch from the kid burger to the BLTA and it was THE RIGHT DECISION. That sandwich was my favorite. (Oh, and the chowder was great too!!)

A hidden gem in the heart of downtown Port Orchard. Inside the Port Orchard public market. Started with a Blackberry cider which was served at just the right temperature. For an appetizer - house prepared French Onion soup. Hot, flavorful and the optimal cheese to soup ratio. The main course, which was shared, consisted of 12 lightly battered shrimp and Dock fries. We added a side of cole slaw to complete our meal. Good crunch and not too sweet. The establishment was not crowded, but I'm certain that on the weekends seating might be hard to come by. Next time, I'm leaving room for dessert

We went here yesterday, first glance I thought food court. But we sat down anyway. With moments I realized just how wrong I was. It is like an outdoor bistro feel, but inside. This is a bonus in the PNW. We sat at the bar with a view of the kitchen, best seat in the house. Then we met the staff, impressive to say the least. Warm and welcoming. Willing to answer all our questions. There was a warm camaraderie amongst everyone, but at the same time they were always busy and on task. We watched the cooks and man were they impressive, busy quick but not frantic. Food tasting for quality was evident. The Kyle's were rocking it. The executive chef was present and hands on. Friendly and kind to guests and staff, you know he cares. Our waitress was wonderful, the dishwasher hustling and fun. We got the Creole Calamari to start. OMG, so perfect. Light breading, and perfect cook. The calamari was not rubbery at all, so perfectly cooked and tender. Then we had French onion soup and the Shrimp Po'boy. Mouthgasms! You knew the soup was made n house from scratch. The shrimp..... very light batter, you could see the shrimp. The cook, the shrimp popped when you bit down, the hallmark of a perfectly cooked shrimp. Bottom line love the staff and food. Will definitely eat here again, may even go out of our way. It would be worth it. I recommend The Dock to everyone.

After a fun time looking around the shops in Port Orchard we decided to try The Dock Bar & Eatery. The entry is very welcoming with a large chess set for visitors to enjoy. There are a number of cute little shops around the edges. The restaurant is the main attraction. The service was quick and friendly. The prices were reasonable and the food was very good. We started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip. It was HEAVENLY. So creamy and delicious with lots of pita bread and fresh veggies. My husband and I shared a bowl of chowder and the Turkey Bacon Pesto sandwich. The sandwich came with THE BEST fries. Super crispy and well seasoned. They were excellent plain and the yummy dipping sauces added and extra zing. The sauce with Cajun seasoning was amazing. Both the chowder and the sandwich were generously sized and well made. We have leftovers. We will definitely come back again.

Food was excellent. Service was a little flaky so the one star deduction. I had the fish and chips and the batter was just right. The fish was moist and tender and tasty. The slaw was good. The fries were good. I would eat there again. The chowder was superb. Had tons of clams and shrimp and something else. Flavor was excellent, lots of seafood in it. Loved it. I asked for a glass of water and a Dr. Pepper. She never did bring me the water. She came up after almost 10 minutes and admitted she forgot to turn in my order and forgot my order. Never came to ask how things were. Never came by again so I couldn't get a refill on my soda. Had to flag down for my bill. She didn't pick it up to charge me for another 10 minutes. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This place was interesting. This eatery is part of a shared space with other small businesses. Very casual and kid-friendly. We ordered the turkey pesto sandwich w/fries & kids meal of chicken strips w/veggies. The sandwich was amazing! Huge sandwich with a delicious ciabatta bun. The bacon added elevated the flavor. Yum! I was impressed with their chicken strips.. not oily and lightly battered. I was glad my child was getting mostly chicken and not just batter. I did take a star off because the service was slooow. We waited forever for our bill and we never got checked on after we received our meal. Other than that, food is great. Check it out!

On my quest to find the best calamari in the KP. Sorry, it's not here. The ambiance is cool though. Garage door thing they open when the weather is nice for this bright open space with lofty ceilings. Kitchen is opposite the big door and there's a bar that sort of wraps in front of that dividing high top bar space from sit down family space. Other food items we had were a delight. Big , juicy prawns in the honey walnut prawn appetizer. Generous serving! Had to fork/knife this situation. We also tried the ahi tacos. You might want to request some sriracha sauce. Server was working her tush off midweek, all the tables full at lunch time and she was the only coverage. She did great. Will return!

My parents and I ate lunch here after a long morning of fishing, we had worked up a good appetite! We found The Dock on Yelp but I wasn't quite sure what to expect. This is a casual eatery in the "Port Orchard Market." The layout is like a large garage area with a few little shop stalls around the edges. The Dock Bar and kitchen is along the back wall. The seating area is under a roof, but you are still getting some fresh air from the large garage door. We shared an appetizer of honey walnut prawns (delicious! how can you go wrong?) My mom had a crab & shrimp melt open-faced sandwich. My dad and I had wings - his were the miso flavor, mine were Thai peanut sauce. Everything was tasty and the portions were pretty big - we all had leftovers. I was a little cold, it would have been nice to be warm and cozy after a day of fishing, but that's an aspect that is hard to judge from yelp reviews or pictures. Also, there was one server and one busser, and they were busy! We waited quite a bit and I saw there were a few tables waiting to be cleared. We thought the prices were a little high (does $18 for wings seem steep?) but, the portions were pretty big so maybe that's not too bad.
